In Kharberd, Western Armenia, the waters of the Aratsani River have receded over an area of about 2 kilometers, as a result of which farmers have the opportunity to engage in agriculture on the land. In the free land they mainly sow corn and plant other agricultural crops.
Ahmet Demir, a resident of the village, says. “This village usually lives by fishing.Due to the flooding of the river, the villagers started raising cattle. The weather is quite hot. Due to the lack of rain for 3 months, the water dried up in an area of about 2 kilometers. The water usually reached the depths of the village. And today the ground has dried up and cracked due to the drought. ”
