Moscow calls on all foreign and domestic players to exercise maximum restraint over the situation in Artsakh. As reported by TASS, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko told reporters.

“We call on all external and internal players to show maximum restraint, including in terms of rhetoric. “Now it is important to be very careful to reach a ceasefire immediately and return the parties to the negotiating table,” he said.

Russia, as co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, has been actively involved in this process since 1991. “We intend to continue relations with all partners,” he said.

In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan started active shelling along the line of contact with Artsakh. Peaceful settlements, including the capital Stepanakert, are also being shelled. The first victims of the Azerbaijani attack were a woman and a child in the Martuni region.
