Scientists say that the tarekh of Lake Van, Western Armenia is endangered due to climate change.

Tarekh, which finds a comfortable habitat in the world only in the basin of Lake Van, attracts the attention of scientists with a unique way to fight for its survival, swimming against the current of water. Since tarekhs are unable to reproduce in the salty water of Lake Van, which is rich in soda, they swim to the rivers. However, rising temperatures have a negative effect on fish.
