The Artsakh Human Rights Defender has published an extraordinary report on the violation of children’s rights due to Azerbaijan’s aggression against the Artsakh Republic. The report presents the violations of children’s rights registered during the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against the people of Artsakh from September 27 to November 9.
According to the Human Rights Defender’s Office of Artsakh, since the first day of the aggression, the Azerbaijani armed forces have attacked deliberately and non-discriminatory on civilian objects, residential buildings and infrastructure in about 170 (about 70%) communities of Artsakh.
At least 50 people were killed and at least 163 were injured in Artsakh, including one child was killed and nine were injured.
According to preliminary data, at least 71 schools and 14 kindergartens were damaged due to the Azerbaijani aggression in Artsakh, not counting the schools and kindergartens of the Azerbaijani communities under the control of the Azerbaijani armed forces, most of which have no information on their condition. 28.014 school-age children were deprived of the right to education.
