The area called Sahabe hill in the Tigranakert province of Western Armenia has been declared a 1st degree archeological site by the regional directorate of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Department.

Archaeologists have already discovered a large number of cave tombs during the first conducted survey.

Extensive archeological excavations will be launched to study and discover the area’s past.
