A requiem service was held in the Holy Cross Church in Akhalkalaki on December 20 in memory of victims of the Artsakh war. This was reported by the press service of the Javakhk General Diocese.
On Sunday, at the end of the Holy and Immortal Liturgy, Father Narek Tigranyan, the pastor of the Holy Cross Church performed a requiem service for the peace of the souls of heroes killed during the Artsakh war.
Believers prayed to God for the return of the captured soldiers and for the healing of the wounded.
The newly elected member of the Georgian parliament Samvel Manukyan and the deputy mayor of Akhalkalaki Armen Marangozyan were among the many believers present at the requiem service.
