Portasar in the province of Urfa, Western Armenia, included in the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites, is covered with white snow.

The last time it snowed in Urfa in 2017.

The snow started to fall early in the morning in Portasar, which has been a “zero point in the history of mankind” with a history of 12 thousand years.

Although the historic site remained closed for about three months in 2020 due to the Covid-19 epidemic, it still hosted almost 198 thousand visitors.

Portasar, attracting worldwide attention since its discovery, hosts thousands of local and foreign tourists every year.
