On the fourth day of the seminar, a representative of Western Armenia in the UN and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Western Armenia Lydia Markosyan presented the state’s diplomatic strategy, noting that each initiative should take into consideration the fact that the existence of indigenous Armenians in Western Armenia depends on their return to their homeland with the return of the territories occupied by Turkey.

In these circumstances, there is a concern that deported Armenians lose their identity, assimilate with other peoples, which causes a number of problems.

Lidya Markosyan considers preserving the ancient culture of Western Armenia and taking possession of the enormous cultural wealth that rightfully belongs to the Armenian people a priority.

Speaking about future plans, Markosyan mentioned that she would take part in the UN sessions on indigenous peoples by international bodies, and would present the issues related to the indigenous peoples living in Western Armenia.
