CONIFA European President Albert Rishio said: “We have been working closely with the Nice Local Committee on a monthly basis since CONIFA decided to host it in August. The competition with Covid-19 has become a Tetris game and we work on precautions to ensure everyone’s safety.

All teams will have to pass the covid-19 test before flying to Nice. “After landing, they will take another test to the local organization to check their health.”

He added. “The committee is proud of this massive tournament for Europe. For the first time we have 12 teams, we can see new federations like Cornwall and Sardinia, which have never been in the previous tournament. We have our current European champions in South Ossetia. I would like to wish good luck to all the teams.

The European Committee is also looking forward to working with supporters to find the start of the competition, with five multilingual commentators covering our live MyCujoo broadcast to add even more color to each game of the tournament.

Please note that there is a list of reserve teams (Two Sicilies, Carpathians and Romans) if one of the qualified individuals is unable to participate in the competition. “This list also depends on each team reaching the end of the deadline, signing the tournament contract, paying its contribution to CONIFA, so it can be changed.”

CONIFA is pleased to welcome all of our qualified teams to this summer’s Sportsbet.io European Cup in Nice.

President Armenak Abrahamyan welcomes this decision of hosting the CONIFA European Championship in Nice, France. He reminded that. “The last time we met in Artsakh was in 2019, before the war. More than 45.000 Armenians gathered in the Stadium after Stepan Shahumyan in Artsakh’s Stepanakert city to support Western Armenia. Today, I call on Armenians in Europe deported from Western Armenia to come and support not only the victory of the Armenian national team of Western Armenia, but also to support the Artsakh team, like the child of Artsakh, carrying the flag of Western Armenia. Armenia runs around the Stadium after Stepan Shahumyan, symbolizing the future of our nation. “I count on you in order to fill the stadiums.”

Long live the Indigenous peoples, long live Artsakh!

Long live Western Armenia!
