Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh helped restore the operation of the Kashatagh (Lachin) hydroelectric power plant.

As a result of the agreements reached earlier, the machine room of the hydroelectric power plant appeared in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers, and its dam came under the control of Azerbaijan.
With the support of the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, the operation of the HPP has resumed․ The Russian peacekeepers ensure the security of the power plants and unimpeded access to service the power plant units and systems.
It allows supplying electricity to nearby settlements, such as Stepanakert.
