The mosaics belonging to the Roman Period found during illegal excavations in Viranshehir, Urfa, Western Armenia are now taken under state protection.

The police received a call to the address of the suspect who made unauthorized excavations in the garden of his house, where as a result of operative actions it was found out that there are mosaics of different colors and patterns on the area of 300 square meters, belonging to the Roman period.

The mosaics were taken under protection. The suspect was taken to police.
