Treasure hunters looted the underground structures of Mount Yilanli at an altitude of 1,700 meters in Caesarea, Western Armenia.
The thieves who entered the tombs made a mess in the underground hall, which was used as a shelter centuries ago. Bottles of alcohol, Underwear and women’s shoes were found in the basement.
These shelters were built underground, centuries ago, with a special mortar to protect them from attacks. Treasure hunters dug different parts of the mountain to reach the entrance . Most of them entered the tombs by demolition, as a result of which the structures were damaged by rain and snow.
