The water level in 12 reservoirs of Karin, Yerznka and Aghri, Western Armenia is sufficient, no problems are expected in the drinking, irrigation and energy spheres in the near future.
Although most of the above-mentioned reservoirs are used for irrigation, they also play an active role in the production of drinking water and hydroelectric energy.
Noting that the snowfall continues in the region, the director of the water economy of Karin stated that the water level of 12 reservoirs in Karin, Yerznka and Aghri is being monitored 24 hours a day. According to him, the amount of water in the dams is mainly sufficient for both irrigation and drinking water. No lack of water is expected this year. Water levels in all storage areas are maintained within the allowed level, especially in the spring.
