Besides the main tarek fish, a new fish species can live in Lake Van, Western Armenia. The latter is the largest lake in the world rich in soda. This new species of fish is called “Little coral of Lake Van”.
In 2018, a new 5-6 cm long fish species were discovered living on a microbialite exceeding 13 meters in Lake Van.
Numerous scientific studies have been carried out on the fish discovered 3 years ago, on the basis of which a program has been formed in the social department of the gendarmerie of the central Artamet province of Van. The newly discovered fish species was presented to the guests within the framework of the program.
