Nearly 400 caves in the 17 kilometers long Madavans valley in Ahlat province, Baghesh, Western Armenia will be restored and introduced to tourism.
Ahlat, where 8,000 tombs are located, is distinguished by its historical values. Madavans Valley is one of the hundreds of historical sites in the province.
Relevant authorities have initiated the project for the restoration of almost 400 caves in the valley, which was recently declared a “specially protected area”. The restoration of the caves will be carried out according to a joint project and they will be opened to world tourism.
