Today, on May 18, the “National Costume” festival was celebrated in Akhalkalaki, where it has been observed since 2017. Various dance groups from different villages of the Akhalkalaki region participated in the event.

The groups gathered in the center of Akhalkalaki, in front of the House of Culture, dressed in beautiful national costumes. All the groups performed a united national dance, after which they marched together toward the Akhalkalaki Museum of Local Lore. According to the program, a concert event was planned in the “Khas Bakhcha” park of Akhalkalaki, but due to weather conditions, the concert was held in the House of Culture instead.

Dance performances were presented by the groups “Murji,” “Javakhk,” “Korkh,” “Baralet,” “Vachian,” “Khando,” “Samsar,” “Alastan,” “Varevan,” “Dadesh,” “Agana,” and “Kokio.”
