Baku announced that Hadrut St. About restoring the Church of the Resurrection as an Aghvanian church. Artsakh State Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage reports this on its Facebook page.

It is noted that according to the newly developed master plan of Hadrut city, it will be restored after carrying out archaeological excavations.

It is also planned to create a museum representing the "limestone" culture in the church. Let's remind that after the 44-day war, the authorities of Baku, under various pretexts, prohibit the entry of the UNESCO mission to the occupied territories of Artsakh. A UNESCO mission did not go to Artsakh even after the forced deportation of Artsakh Armenians in September 2023.

It should be noted that according to Makar Barkhudaryan, the church was built in 1621. The church was renovated in 1819, when the dome was installed. The renovation was carried out in 2007 with the financial support of Mikhail Baghdasarov, a Russian-born philanthropist from Azok.
