Greek photographer Dimitra Stasinopoulou has presented a new photographic album dedicated to the historical and cultural monuments of Western Armenia and Iran.
In 2017, the photographer visited Lake Van, the Holy Cross Church of Akhtamar, and Ani before traveling to Iran, where she photographed the Holy Savior Cathedral in Isfahan, as well as the monasteries of St. Thaddeus and St. Stepanos.
When speaking about her visits, Stasinopoulou recalls the Holy Cross Church of Akhtamar and the ruins of Ani with particular emotion, emphasizing the importance of preserving Armenian historical heritage.
The photographer began practicing photography at the age of 50 and has since published five printed and five electronic collections. The new album is available online.
