Hayk Malkhasyan, a researcher at the Byurakan Observatory named after Victor Hambardzumyan of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, and a candidate in medical sciences, described the multi-layered nature of the Zorats Karer monument during his examination of the site.

"The layers date back to 9000, 5800, and 2341 BC, and it is particularly remarkable that the monument was utilized by the same culture bearers. In general, Armenian culture, based on astronomy, calendars, and religions, is 11,000 years old as a whole and is prominently represented in the monument," said Hayk Malkhasyan.

The obtained results serve as a fundamental reference base of important and genuine astronomical observational data for studies related to calendars, Armenian deities, mythology, archaeology, ethnography, and forgotten histories.

The main research results have been published in the peer-reviewed scientific periodical "Reports of the Byurakan Observatory" (ComBAO), the Venice-based scientific periodical "Bazmavep," and the proceedings of several international conferences.
