It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Serge Vrej Aprahamian. He passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the age of 90, in Grasse.

Serge Vrej Aprahamian was the senior-most member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Western Armenia, a member of the National Assembly’s Committee on Veterans and Persons with Disabilities, as well as a member of patriotic, public, and community organizations. He was the President of the National Union of Armenian Veterans and Supporters and the standard-bearer of Western Armenia.

The commitment to preserving the homeland, national memory, and the rights of the Armenian people was at the heart of his life and work. For many years, through his work and public activities, he contributed to protecting and advancing the interests of veterans, freedom fighters, persons with disabilities, and public organizations.

As the standard-bearer of Western Armenia, Serge Vrej Aprahamian carried the national symbol with exceptional devotion, regarding it not merely as a flag, but as a symbol of historical memory, national dignity, and loyalty to the homeland.

His life’s journey was an example of dedication and responsibility, values that he passed on to future generations. With the passing of Serge Vrej Aprahamian, the national and public life of Western Armenia loses one of its most important and devoted figures.
