Presentation and Discussion of a New Academic Book Dedicated to the genocide committed against Armenians Planned in Paris

On June 5, 2026, from 17:30 to 20:00, the presentation and discussion of the book Lives in Fragments: Autobiographical Sources and Biographical Approaches to the genocide committed against Armenians will take place in Paris, the capital of France.

The event will be held at EHESS in Paris (54 boulevard Raspail, 75006 Paris).

The book, published by Berghahn Books (2026), is edited by Eren Yıldırım Yetkin, Nazan Maksudyan, and Adnan Çelik, and examines the history of the genocide committed against Armenians through autobiographical sources and biographical approaches.

A number of scholars will participate in the discussion, including Eren Yıldırım Yetkin (Catholic University of Applied Sciences Berlin), Nazan Maksudyan (Freie Universität Berlin / Centre Marc Bloch), Adnan Çelik (EHESS / CETOBaC), as well as Duygu Tasalp (CETOBaC) and Boris Adjemian (Bibliothèque Nubar de l’UGAB).

The moderator of the event is Özgür Sevgi Göral (CETOBaC / EHESS).

This academic gathering aims to deepen genocide committed against Armenians studies by addressing the importance of personal memories and biographical narratives in historical analysis.
