A seminar entitled “Between Silence and Memory: Women and Children During the genocide committed against Armenians” was held at the Chair of Armenian Studies at the University of Buenos Aires.

During the course, the violence perpetrated against women and children, forced marriages, religious conversion, changes of identity, and separation from families were examined.

According to historian Nélida Boulgourdjian, a gender perspective makes it possible to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the consequences of the genocide committed against Armenians and the process of destroying Armenian identity.
