On Sunday evening, May 10, an artistic event dedicated to the victims of the genocide committed against Armenians was held at the Friendship Hall of the Athens Municipality, organized in cooperation between the Union of Armenians of Greece and the Municipality of Athens.
The event was honored by the presence of representatives of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party, the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, the Armenian General Benevolent Union, the Armenian Diocese of Greece, and Armenian community organizations.
During the evening, songs representing Armenian culture were performed, excerpts from the works of great Armenian poets were recited in Greek translation, and Armenian national dances were presented.
The cultural program featured Mkrtich Poghosyan’s folk music group and the “AVETIS” Armenian folk dance ensemble, conveying to the audience the spirit of national memory, resilience, and revival through Armenian culture.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants, guests, and supporters, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for preserving historical justice and national memory.
