
The President of the Republic of Western Armenia, Armenag Aprahamian, as well as the Speaker of the National Assembly, Nelly Harutyunyan, participated in the commemorative event dedicated to the memory of national hero Ashot Ghulyan (Bekor), held at the Isahakyan Library.
As part of the event, a documentary film about Bekor’s life and military path was screened. Those in attendance had the opportunity to watch moving footage telling the story of the hero, and a brief account of Bekor’s meeting with the President was also recalled, once again emphasizing his dedication and loyalty to national ideals.
In his speech, President Armenag Aprahamian spoke about Ashot Bekor, describing him as a national hero who devoted his life to the defense of the homeland. He noted that Bekor’s image should serve as an example for the new generation — a symbol of patriotism, courage, and self-sacrifice.
The commemorative event took place in a solemn and dignified atmosphere, underscoring that Bekor’s memory continues to inspire and unite society.
