On May 6, the 17th session of the National Assembly (Parliament) of the Republic of Western Armenia was held online. Seventeen of the fifty-three elected deputies participated.

During the session, the minutes of the previous meeting were first read and approved, after which the agenda was unanimously adopted.

In her speech, Speaker Nelly Harutyunyan addressed important historical and state-related dates commemorated in May, emphasizing that the month holds special significance in the history of the statehood of the Republic of Western Armenia. She particularly highlighted May 24—the day of the establishment of the National Assembly—as a symbol of the formation of governance and democratic representation.

The session also summarized the Zoom meeting held on May 9, during which the historical path of the Constitution, the ideology of statehood, and the importance of national unity were discussed.

According to Nelly Harutyunyan, such initiatives are essential for preserving national identity, strengthening statehood concepts, and transmitting national values.
