On March 5, the 7th session of the National Assembly (Parliament) of the Republic of Western Armenia took place. The session was held online and lasted from 21:30 to 22:15. Out of the 53 elected deputies, 15 participated in the session.
The agenda was adopted unanimously. The first topic of discussion was the Armenian New Year celebrated on March 21 according to the ancient Armenian calendar. Deputies discussed traditional Armenian holidays and their ceremonies, emphasizing the importance of preserving national values.
During the session, a draft law on the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of Western Armenia was also presented. During the discussion, reference was made to various cultural values, including the origins of Armenian embroidery from Marash.
At the end of the session, the Chairperson of the National Assembly, Nelly Harutyunyan, delivered the concluding remarks.
