The National Assembly of Western Armenia Held Its 24th Session

On July 8, the 24th session of the National Assembly (Parliament) of the Republic of Western Armenia took place under the chairmanship of President Armenag Aprahamian. The session was held online and attended by 16 of the 52 elected members of Parliament.

During the session, the agenda was unanimously approved, after which President Armenag Aprahamian delivered a report on Zionism as a political and national movement. He presented the historical and political background of Zionism, its objectives, and its impact, particularly on Western Armenia and the Armenian people.

Under the next agenda item, Speaker of the National Assembly Nelly Harutyunyan presented the upcoming 19th session of the United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, scheduled for July 13–17. It was noted that Armenag Aprahamian and Lydia Margossian would deliver speeches addressing issues related to the rights of Indigenous peoples.

At the end of the session, President Armenag Aprahamian summarized the discussions, emphasizing the importance of consistently defending the rights of Western Armenia and the Indigenous Armenian people on international platforms.
