In his speech dedicated to the 106th anniversary of the Treaty of Sèvres, Armenag Aprahamian, President of the Republic of Western Armenia, addressed the historical and legal significance of the treaty, emphasizing that it consisted of 433 articles and included numerous interconnected legal provisions.

The President noted that the Treaty of Sèvres was not merely a single document, but a comprehensive system of international law concerning the post-war settlement of the Ottoman Empire. One of the treaty’s important components was also the adoption of the Covenant of the League of Nations.

Armenag Aprahamian also addressed the subsequent relations between Turkey and European states, noting that a number of provisions of the Treaty of Sèvres were reflected in various forms in later international processes.
