Several high-ranking military officials of Artsakh, who had previously received state-provided apartments in Armenia free of charge, have recently received notices demanding that they vacate those apartments. Artsakh lawyer Roman Yeritsyan stated this in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.
According to him, the process concerns several dozen individuals, including a number of his own clients. Yeritsyan noted that the notices cite “allocations made with violations” as the basis, yet no specific legal violations are presented.
The lawyer informed that, in order to protect the interests of his clients, he has applied to the court, challenging the legality of the decisions. In his opinion, the judicial authorities must assess the legality of the process and prevent arbitrary approaches.
It is also noted that earlier a similar process had been initiated against former Minister of Defense of the Artsakh Republic Mikael Arzumanyan, however, by decision of the Administrative Court, the eviction process had been suspended.
“Is there a greater manifestation of hatred than this? They are spreading hatred; they do not want Artsakh Armenians to have any form of security in Armenia. As if taking them out of Artsakh and bringing them here, leaving them homeless, was not enough — now they want to leave homeless even those who had managed to settle,” said Roman Yeritsyan, referring to the initiated process.
