Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the executive body of Eastern Armenia, wrote on Facebook:
“Even a single Azerbaijani crossing the border and appearing in Armenian settlements—especially if civilians are harmed—is enough to draw conclusions about the true state of Eastern Armenia’s internal and external security and its institutions.
The ‘bunkers,’ ‘fortresses,’ multi-layered video surveillance systems, and personnel deployed along the border under various highly publicized programs, which have become the subject of cheap daily propaganda, failed to detect the Azerbaijani approaching the border, crossing it, and making ‘journeys’ behind the lines.
Moreover, given the information received from Baku, the Azerbaijani serviceman was detected not as a result of a special operation or organized action, but following an incident involving a civilian and her minor children.
This is the bitter consequence of wasting billions and focusing the security apparatus on domestic political matters.”
