Tehran seeks concessions not through negotiations, but through missiles on the battlefield, because agreements can only benefit those who are prepared for war. This was stated by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Majlis (Iran’s unicameral parliament).
“We seek concessions not through dialogue, but through missiles. In negotiations, we merely explain them. We do not believe in guarantees or words. The only measure of trust is the actions of the other side,” he wrote in an article. He added that “the winner in any agreement” is always the one “prepared for the day after the war.”
Axios previously reported that American and Iranian negotiators had agreed on a draft memorandum of understanding awaiting approval from U.S. President Donald Trump. According to the report, the agreement предусматривает the extension of the ceasefire and the launch of negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Tasnim news agency stated that the draft agreement regarding the settlement of the conflict between Iran and the United States has undergone changes in recent days and has not yet been finalized.
