The Israeli leadership is inclined toward the swift resumption of military operations against Iran, but is dissatisfied with the position of U.S. President Donald Trump, which, according to Israeli officials, is being used by Tehran to deliberately prolong the diplomatic pause. This was reported by CNN, citing its sources within the Israeli government.

The source commented on the recent conversation between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing it as tense. Following the conversation, the Israeli side was reportedly concerned about the U.S. president’s position, which is leading to a prolonged situation, while “at the highest levels of the Israeli government there is a strong desire to resume military operations [against Iran].”

The source added that Netanyahu was frustrated by the conversation with Trump, believing that the current pause benefits only Iran.
