In an interview with Alpha News, Shant Charchafyan, head of the “Lorik” Humanitarian Foundation, told what was the motivation for creating the foundation.

 “Lorik” Humanitarian Foundation was born during the 44-day war. I have always wanted to return to my homeland, to be a repatriate. During the war, we tried to help people as best we could. When the agreement was signed on November 9, we decided to continue the work of the foundation and went to Artsakh. That’s where we founded “Lorik.”

My wife and I had our second child during the Armenian exodus from Artsakh, right under the bombing. Then we were deported from Artsakh with everyone else,” said our interlocutor.

He also noted that Artsakh must always be Armenian.

“The people of Artsakh must return, Artsakh must be Armenian again. If this does not happen, then Armenia cannot survive without Artsakh,” noted Shant Charchafyan.
