Political scientist Ara Poghosyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“No one will fight for Armenia or on behalf of Armenians.

Support can be received, including from everyone, if we are able to skillfully align interests.

But no one will ever sacrifice their own interests for the sake of faith, civilization, or human rights. Moreover, this is not determined by us or by our enemies, but by the true nature of international relations.

Our task is not to pledge allegiance or evoke sympathy, but to construct relationships in such a way that what we want will also be beneficial to those whose support or loyalty we may need.

To put it more frankly, we are destined to become strong and wealthy; the alternative is to cease to exist as a state.”
