The situation in the Middle East has sharply escalated after forces of the United States and the Israeli regime carried out joint strikes on military and strategic facilities located within Iran. According to reports, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking commanders were killed as a result of the strikes.

In response, Iran launched strikes against Israel and American military bases located in the Persian Gulf region, including in Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. Experts do not rule out the possibility that the conflict could escalate into a broader regional war.

At the same time, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important routes for global oil supplies, could be closed. This statement has already driven up energy prices and created tension in international markets.

Political analysts note that developments in the region may also have a direct impact on Armenia. It is noted that economic problems, border pressures, and even a flow of refugees from Iran—whose population is about 90 million—are possible.

According to experts, the authorities of Armenia should prepare in advance for such scenarios by strengthening border control and developing programs to manage economic and security risks.

The question is also being discussed regarding how prepared Armenia is for the rapidly changing regional situation and what steps should be taken in the event of possible crisis developments.
