The “IV Global Media Forum” was held in Baku-controlled Shushi, with one of its topics focusing on the role of the media in restoring peace, truth, and trust.

Critics on the Armenian side view the forum as part of Baku’s information policy, noting that it was held following the depopulation of Armenians from Artsakh and amid ongoing concerns surrounding Armenian cultural heritage.

Around 160 representatives from 54 countries participated in the event. The main focus of criticism is that the presence of international participants could be used to create international legitimacy and a positive information environment for Baku’s official policies.

Events such as the one held in Shushi once again emphasize the importance of raising international awareness about historical facts, cultural heritage, and the rights of the people of Artsakh in the information sphere.
