U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, demanding the immediate removal of any possible naval mines placed in the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, if Tehran fails to comply, it could face military consequences “at a level never seen before.”

At the same time, representatives of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have stated that foreign vessels in the region could become targets, increasing tensions in the strategically important waterway.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the most critical maritime routes in the world, through which a significant portion of global oil transportation passes.

Analysts note that any escalation in the area could affect not only regional security but also international energy markets.
