According to updated data cited in the publication, the U.S. Air Force sustained a series of aircraft losses and damage during the war with Iran. In particular, the publication claims that at the beginning of the war, three F-15E fighter aircraft were downed by “friendly fire,” while another was shot down over Iranian territory on April 3. It also reports that approximately eight additional aircraft were damaged as a result of an Iranian missile strike on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, although documents confirming this figure have not yet been published.

Two KC-135 tanker aircraft were reportedly destroyed, while up to seven others were damaged. On March 12, two KC-135 aircraft collided over Iraq, resulting in six deaths.

On March 14, another five KC-135 aircraft were damaged in a strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. On March 27, an E-3G Sentry airborne early-warning aircraft at the same base was also struck. According to the publication, the Pentagon classified it as damaged, while the CBO reportedly considers it an effective loss. Damage to two A-10 aircraft and one F-35A is also reported.

For context, an official U.S. Air Force/CENTCOM account confirms that an F-15E was shot down over Iran on April 2 and that its two crew members were subsequently rescued.
