Official Yerevan reports that it has presented its 6th proposal on the peace agreement to the Azerbaijani side.

"Armenia remains committed to signing the document on the regulation of relations based on previously announced principles," said the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Eastern Armenia.

Yerevan does not elaborate on what proposals we are talking about.

Let's remind that Baku recently complained that "the fifth version of the peace agreement was presented to Eastern Armenia, but Yerevan has not responded for two months."

Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the head of Baku, said that Baku sent it with explanatory notes on September 11, expecting an answer soon. "The Azerbaijani side has repeatedly stated that this is a historic opportunity and there are no obstacles to signing a peace treaty, especially after the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty. As for how ready Armenia is, serious questions arise now," Hajiyev said, stressing that "the ball is now in Yerevan's court." Eastern Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan confirmed that Baku has forwarded new proposals. "There is a process, there is a discussion, of course there were no face-to-face negotiations during this period after June. "Unfortunately, there are important issues where the positions of the parties are still quite far from each other," Mirzoyan said.
