The Eastern Armenian team won 2 bronze medals at the 35th International Biology Olympiad, which was held on July 7-14 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

305 representatives from 81 countries participated in the Olympiad. Our team was represented by Kamuni Abrahamyan, Tatev Simonyan, Hakob Perikhanyan and Rubik Karapetyan. Tatev Simonyan and Hakob Perikhanyan won bronze medals.

During the 7 days of the Olympiad, the participants performed 2 theoretical tasks and 4 experimental works in biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, animal anatomy and physiology.
