Eastern Armenia Has Officially Joined NASA’s Artemis Agreement

Eastern Armenia became the 43rd country to officially join NASA's Artemis Agreement.

The project aims to explore Mars and other space objects.

The head of NASA, Bill Nelson, warmly welcomed the decision of Eastern Armenia to join the Artemis Agreement, emphasizing the great achievements of Armenia in the fields of science, space exploration, and astronomy.

The  Agreement Artemis  was created in 2020 by the United States and seven other countries to establish a practical set of principles to guide the exploration and use of space.

Apart from our country, 42 countries have signed this agreement so far, including 20 in Europe, 8 in Asia, 6 in South America, 3 in North America, 3 in Africa and 2 in Oceania.
