A protest  has been started against the decision to suspend the license of “Açık Radyo” broadcasting from Istanbul. This is reported by Ermenihaber. It should be reminded that it was suspended by the “Higher Council of Radio and Television of Turkey” on the basis of publicizing the term “genocide committed against Armenians”.

The activity of the radio company was stopped for 5 days.

A number of columnists, journalists and politicians expressed their protest against this decision.

It is said in the text of the protest. “Açık Radyo is a radio channel that has celebrated its openness to the expression of every thought.

The decision to stop broadcasting the radio is not an acceptable option and clearly contradicts the freedom of speech guaranteed by the treaty.”

They demand that this decision be canceled immediately. It was also emphasized that the license-deprived radio channel has provided high-quality broadcasting for years.
