From November 27 to 29, the EU fact-finding mission will arrive in Eastern Armenia

From November 27 to 29, a delegation composed of representatives of the European External Action Service and the European Commission will arrive in Eastern Armenia. The press and information team of the EU delegation in Eastern Armenia announces this.

During the visit, relations between the EU and Eastern Armenia will be discussed in various forms, with the aim of considering possible directions for deepening and strengthening ties between the EU and Eastern Armenia , as well as how Armenia can use the full potential of the EU-Eastern Armenia Comprehensive Agreement, and the Wider Partnership Agreement. This visit fits into this framework. to the implementation of the recommendation of the European Council of 26 and 27 October aimed at defining options to best strengthen relations between the EU and Armenia.

As part of the visit, representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Frontex, the European Union Agency for External Border Security, will join representatives of the European External Action Service and the European Council. The on-site delegation will have meetings with high-ranking representatives of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, as well as representatives of the United Nations and civil society organizations.

As part of the visit, the launch of the investment coordination platform between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia will be announced.
