Adam Sahakyan, one of the victims of the April war, didn't tell the military unit that he could draw or design well (he was an architect-designer by profession), so that he would be taken to the front line. and was ready to give his life not only for his homeland, but also for his family and friends. That's why he wanted to be on the front line, next to those who might be in danger. Adam has been watching action movies since he was a child, movies that could have been about him too.

Adam Sahakyan was born in 1996 in Yerevan, into the family of journalist and film-maker Gayane Antonyan and builder Khachatur Sahakyan. From 2002, he studied at Khachik Dashtents Lyceum No. 114 in Yerevan, then in 2013 he entered the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction.

He practiced karate and received a yellow belt. He has also practiced other types of martial arts, including boxing. Adam Sahakyan was drafted into the army on January 26, 2015 and served in Artsakh. On the night of April 1 to 2, 2016, the Baku authorities   launched a large-scale attack against Artsakh. Adam Sahakyan was from the Border Guard Battalion, on the morning of April 1 he went up to the positions and the attack took place around 3:00 on the night of the same day. After 15 to 20 minutes of intensive bombardment of the positions by the enemy, the 7 border guards led by Captain Adam Sahakyan from position 112 (a hill called "Lalaika") moved to a circular defense. Sergeant Adam Sahakyan, fighting with his comrades-in-arms for 5 hours against the enemy, inflicting heavy casualties (over 200 special forces killed), died a hero's death at around 8:00 a.m., following severe gunshot wounds to the body and forehead.
Adam Sahakyan's 5-hour battle against the enemy gave the Armenian Jrakan Regiment the opportunity to deploy on the 2nd front line and stop the enemy. Adam Sahakyan was posthumously awarded the State "Combat Service" Medal of the Republic of Artsakh and the State "Courage" Medal of the Republic of Armenia.
