The 124th issue of the “Western Armenia” weekly has been published, presenting readers with a rich selection of important national, historical, and social topics. The cover of this issue features the ship “Cilicia,” symbolizing the historical memory of the Armenian people, their maritime heritage, and their connection to the homeland.
The new issue includes numerous interesting and moving publications. Particular attention should be given to the article titled “I am 72 years old, and I am cared for by my 94-year-old mother,” which is a cry for help from the Armenian community and presents the difficult daily life of elderly individuals who are alone and in need of care.
The periodical also includes historical overviews, articles on preserving national memory, and alerts about the loss of cultural heritage. Especially concerning is the publication about the destruction of a 12th-century khachkar in the village of Khnapat, once again emphasizing the urgency of preserving Armenian historical and cultural values.
The “Western Armenia” weekly continues its mission of highlighting key issues related to national identity, historical justice, and the preservation of Armenian cultural heritage.
