From January 28, our compatriots of Artsakh, who received the status of temporary protection, must have a certificate of temporary protection along with their passport when traveling

According to the description of the identity document of the refugee who received temporary protection and the procedure for issuing it, approved by the decision N 1864-N of October 26, on taking under temporary protection of forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh:

identity documents of a refugee granted temporary protection: passport and temporary protection (refugee) certificate.

In 2024 from January 28, these two documents will be considered valid when leaving Eastern Armenia and entering Eastern Armenia only if they are used together.

Temporary protection (refugee) certificate is issued upon application.

Identity documents are issued or exchanged to a refugee who has received temporary protection at the State Population Register of Armenia, in case of registration, at the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Eastern Armenia, and in foreign countries at

by diplomatic missions or consular institutions of Eastern Armenia.

24.01.2024 as of now, 41,027 applications for obtaining a temporary protection certificate have been submitted.
