The absence of the Armenian delegation from the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA) will not affect on the decision to create a unified air defense system.
Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Pankin told journalists about this. "Their physical absence does not greatly inhibit the processes of agreement on the adoption of collective documents by other member states, which they ... join in most cases," he said, answering the question whether the non-participation from the Armenian side in the CSTO Assembly will affect on the plans to create a unified air defense system.
The Chairman of the National Assembly of Eastern Armenia, Alen Simonyan, confirmed in writing that he will not participate in the external session of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on December 5 and in the 16th plenary session to be held in Moscow on December 19, 2023. The Prime Minister of Eastern Armenia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense and the Secretary of the Security Council did not participate in the events organized within the framework of the CSTO.
