Students from the Akhalkalaki Sports Complex are participating in the Georgian Boxing Championship for School-Age Boys and Girls, which is being held in Kutaisi from May 12 to 18. On 12,13  May boxers aged 13-14 from the Akhalkalaki Sports Complex left for Kutaisi to participate in the Georgian Boxing Championship.

12 boys and one girl, Gohar Abdoyan, are participating in the championship from Akhalkalaki. The fights of the Georgian championship in Kutaisi started today, May 13. The final results of the championship will be announced on 18 May.

Director of the Akhalkalaki Sports Complex, Honored Coach of Georgia and boxer Atom Elizbaryan says that this championship is very important for the development of the students and that the Akhalkalaki Sports Complex expects good results.

School-age children born in 2011-2012 from different cities of Georgia are participating. The winners will later participate in the European and World Championships and other international competitions to compete for the title of champion. We expect our participants to return with good results,” said Atom Elizbaryan.
