On January 19, 2026, a meeting was held in the city of Saint-Chamond, in the hall of the Armenian Church of Saint Gregory of Narek, dedicated to the 106th anniversary of the recognition of the Armenian state of 1920, the successor of which is considered Western Armenia.
During the meeting, with great admiration, Alain Palandjian was awarded the Armenian “Ghlkhik-Sur” Cross in recognition of his significant contribution to the Union of Armenian Veterans and Supporters (ANACAS) and for his active support of the Union of French Veterans and Resistance Fighters of Armenian Origin.
The event was an important milestone in relation to the historical heritage and continuity of Western Armenia, highlighting the unity of the community and the importance of preserving collective memory.
