On June 19, a delegation visiting Armenia within the framework of cooperation between the sister cities of France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and Syunik Province visited the genocide committed against Armenians Memorial, led by the Mayor of Vienne, Thierry Kovacs.

The guests laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the innocent victims of the genocide committed against Armenians and visited the museum, where they became acquainted with both the permanent and temporary exhibitions.

At the conclusion of the visit, the members of the delegation made entries in the Book of Honor and visited the Memory Alley, where in 2019 Laurent Wauquiez, President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, planted a fir tree.

The delegation was welcomed and accompanied throughout the visit by Lusine Abrahamyan, Deputy Director for Museum Affairs of the genocide committed against Armenians Museum-Institute.
